SEA CLOUD is Hull #12 and a beautiful example of the Alden 54 mid-cockpit design built in Rhode Island by Alden Yachts to high standards set by the American Bureau of Shipping and built under survey to “+A1 Offshore Yacht Service”. With her shoal draft of only 5’-7” (board up), cruising options are greatly enhanced. She features a spacious two-cabin/two-head layout with an immense owner’s cabin aft, featuring a king-sized centerline berth and separate stall shower, and an over-sized U-berth forward. Furling mainsail, three electric winches and bow thruster make handling her a breeze. SEA CLOUD has also benefitted from many significant upgrades in the past ten years, including new engine, teak decks, carbon rig, sails, electronics, refrigeration, canvas, fabrics and much more. She is presently in excellent condition, enjoyed by only two owners, and awaiting your inspection.
SEA CLOUD sleeps four in two spacious private cabins, plus an additional 3-4 in main salon in pilot berth and two extendable settees. Interior joiner work is hand-crafted solid teak and veneers finished with satin varnish. Cabin soles are solid teak and holly (refinished 2018), hull ceilings are varnished ash and overheads are removable fabric panels. Interior fabrics were all tastefully re-done in 2017, including fitted sheets, covers and a custom king size innerspring mattress aft. Lee cloths for all berths.
FORWARD GUEST CABIN
The forward stateroom has a U-berth configuration with two generous full-sized berths. There are four drawers, two pull-out side tables, a large hanging locker, a second locker aft and several lockers above each berth. Great light and ventilation is provided by two deck hatches and four opening portholes.
FORWARD GUEST HEAD
Aft and to port is the forward guest head. There is a Royal Flush vacuum toilet, vanity with white Corian sink/countertop, medicine cabinet with mirror, varnished teak grates and a separate shower stall with teak seat. Light and ventilation are provided by an opening hatch and porthole.
To port is a U-shaped dinette with extendable settee and a pilot berth outboard. To starboard is an extendable transom berth/settee with liquor locker, wine storage, and entertainment equipment outboard. A large centerline drop-leaf teak table extends to seat up to eight, and includes several drawers and storage spaces. There is also extensive storage space below and outboard each settee.
The U-shaped galley is aft of the salon to starboard of the main companionway, featuring generous storage and countertop space.

The forward-facing nav station is to port of the main companionway with seat, lift-up chart table, flush-mounted navigational equipment, (3) LED red/white chart lights, and wet locker aft. Electrical switch panels and battery controls are inboard, and a passageway leads aft to the owner’s cabin.
The owner’s cabin aft features a large king-size centerline berth with easy access on both sides. There are four large drawers, two large hanging lockers, multiple lockers, a small changing seat and a full length mirror forward. A deck hatch, four opening portholes and two dorade vents provide great light and ventilation.
OWNER’S HEAD AND SHOWER
A private head is to port with Corian sink and vanity top, Royal Flush vacuum toilet, opening porthole, and varnished teak grates. To starboard is a separate shower stall with seat and varnished teak grate.
The hull deck made of vacuum-bagged, balsa-cored fiberglass sandwich construction to high standards approved by the American Bureau of Shipping. External lead keel with stainless steel keel bolts cast in place with airfoil shaped, positive-buoyancy centerboard hydraulically controlled from helmsman’s station. Centerboard configuration offers minimum draft of 5’-7” with board up and maximum draft of 10’ with board down. Full skeg-hung rudder.
Topsides are dark blue Awlgrip with gold cove stripe, triple white/red/white boot stripes and blue bottom. There is also a teak rub rail with stainless steel striker. Decks are white Gelcoat with molded grey non-skid pattern, with laid teak decks in like-new condition (replaced 2012).
