There is ample storage for pots, pans, glass ware , misc. food, etc. in the under counter cabinet, the above counter cabinet and the narrow cabinet between the stove and refrigerator
Anchoring: Maxwell 3500# windlass with dual up/down foot controllers, 250 ft 3/8 chain and a 30-kg Bruce anchor. We would have no other anchor for the Northwest. There is a spare anchor with chain and rode kept in the aft lazarette. A separate wash down pump provides either fresh water from a dedicated tank or salt water for cleaning the chain and anchor.
Canvas: Most significant is the very expensive Barrett fly bridge enclosure. The clear polycarbonate panels are bonded to the canvas. There is a complete fly bridge cover that can be used if one wishes to remove the Barrett enclosure for cleaning or winter storage. There are solid and mesh covers for the bow facing windows and the two side windows located forward of the covered side deck. Solid covers for the side door and cockpit bar were made for outside moorage use.
Dinghy: The dinghy is a 10 ft solid bottom Achilles equipped with Helmsman seating/steering, 20 HP power tilt Nissan motor and Humminbird 385ci depth, GPS, temp. instrument. The canvas cover was made specifically for the dinghy. The dinghy is kept on removable Weaver davits on the upper deck. A custom hoist apparatus allows the dinghy to clear the railing when deployed. The davit is the standard model built by Offshore. The staples/handrails mounted on the swim platform are very helpful for entering and exiting the dinghy.
The master bed is a queen size and the guest bed is a double with an added slide out single above if needed. Screens are VERY important in some cruising areas so all openings are fitted with screens. Precision slider screens are on the two exterior doors. Ventilation is provided by two dual opening hatches in the master stateroom, one dual opening hatch in the guest stateroom and one dual opening hatch in the shower. Additional ventilation in the staterooms, heads and shower is provided by 8 screened opening windows on the cabin sides. The windows in the salon and the side panels of the Barrett fly bridge enclosure also open and have screens that can be placed in the openings. There is ample storage for clothing in the closets and drawers in both staterooms. There is ample storage for dry goods and bottled liquids under the settee, the cabinet below the interior stairs and half of the under counter cabinet. There are two vacuflush heads and a shower between.
Up three steps is the salon with an L-shaped galley to port and the lower helm station with full controls, fliip down seat and sliding door to wide side decks to starboard. From the salon there is a curving stairway leading to the flybidge. Aft to starboard is the entertainment center, followed by two occasional chairs and table. Theer is an L-settee and two stools and counter forward. Aft is a sliding door accessing the large cockpit. There is a ladder to the boat deck on the starboard side, also a starboard side transom door, a forward cabinet with stainless sink, two large lazarette hatches and access to both wide covered side decks. Transom door opens to a wide swim platform with two stainless staples. The flybridge has a centerline helm station with complete controls, a centerline helm seat, a portside L-settee and a starboard bench seat.
