Accommodations
The 43' interior appears to be that of a much larger boat. The two stateroom plan offers a forward berth, guest stateroom (which has been converted into extra storage - can be converted back very easily to over/under bunks), single head and galley up. The teak cabinetry and paneling used throughout is impressive and well crafted. The salon features two barrel chairs, an L-shaped sofa (with storage below), custom hi/low teak table, entertainment center with television, DVD , and stereo system with CD player.
The Egg Harbor 43 Sport Fisherman remains one of the more handsome boats in her size class despite the fact that she’s been out of production for well over a decade. (Indeed, her balanced lines and muscular profile represent classic convertible styling at its best.) The 43 was built on a stretched version of the Egg Harbor 41 Convertible hull with an additional 100 gallons of fuel for increased range. (Note that the extra two feet of length were used to enlarge the 43’s salon dimensions; the cockpit dimensions of both boats are essentially the same.) Several two-stateroom floorplans were offered, and all featured a single head and a mid-level galley. The teak joinery and paneling used throughout is impressive and very well crafted. Taken together, the upscale decor and roomy accommodations make the Egg 43 a comfortable boat for family cruising.
