This Tayana 55 is powered by a 1999 Yanmar 175 Turbo diesel engine with 4800 hours. The diesel transmission belt was rebuilt in 2017.

She also features a Higher output 180 amp alternator with serpentine belt from 2015, an Onan 14Kw diesel generator with 9000 hours, a spare Yamaha 2.6Kw gasoline generator, 30 gal per hour watermaker (2014), and a Side Power SP285 bow thruster.

In 2017, the hydraulic transmission on this Tayana 55 was rebuilt, the raw and fresh water pump on main engine and generator was replaced and a dripless PSS shaft fitted.

She is also currently undergoing full rewiring of the electrical panel and new batteries are being fitted.

This Tayana 55 has had all of its standing rigging replaced over the last 8 years, she features Profurl roller furling on genoa (2013) and on staysail (2016).

Her sail wardrobe includes: Main sail (2014), genoa 800sq/ft (fully refurbished with new UV protection 2017), staysail 300sq/ft (fully refurbished with new UV protection 2017), spinnaker 1900sq/ft (in good condition, little use), two whisker poles, new stackpacks and UV covers on genoa and staysail (2017).

On deck this Tayana 55 benefits from a new high grade custom made dodger, bimini and full enclosure canvas (2017), large cockpit bug screen, there are also newly upholstered cockpit cushions.

Her deck gear features a total of 11 winches including two Lewmar 65 electric winches, Maxwell 2000 windlass, multiple lines and fenders, and stainless steel dinghy davits with 4 large solar panels providing 540 watts of solar power in panels and with a Blue sky controller.

Her ground tackle includes: Rocna 55 with 275 ft of 7/16th G4 chain; Fortress 85; Fortress 65; CQR 65; Enough chain and rode to rig three storm anchors.

This Tayana 55 had new bottom clean and painting in 2017.

This 1984 Tayana 55 provides accommodation for 6 within 3 cabins.

The large master suite to aft features a master bed (newly upholstered in 2017), setee, an ensuite bathroom with electric toilet and separate shower, two hanging closets, two large storage closets and multiple closed storage bins.

There are two further pullman style guest cabins forward with bunk beds, each guest cabin has an ensuite heads and there is a shared forward shower. Two electric toilets were replaced in 2017.

The large saloon on this Tayana 55 offers seating for 8, a navigation station to starboard with chart table, Samsung 40" TV and radio with bluetooth speakers.

The galley is well equipped with a Force 10 four-burner propane stove with built-in oven; Isotherm 2 drawer freezer (2014); Isotherm 2 drawer refrigerator (2014); Panasonic combination electric oven/convection oven/microwave (2014); new sink, countertop and fixtures fitted in 2016; and a Splendide washer-dryer vented XL model.

The interior of this Tayana 55 also benefits from 2x Martinaire 15000BTU air conditioner/heater/dehumidifiers from 2012. There are also Cafrano fans in all bedrooms, saloon, galley, nav station and master suite head.

This Tayana is also equipped with Raymarine navigation instruments including chart plotters, wind, speed, depth, radar, autopilot and much more.

This Tayana 55 is also equipped with a AB Navigo 10VS inflatable tender with wheels and a Yamaha 15 hp outboard engine.

Safety equipment includes 6-8 person Windslow Ocean Rescue custom made life raft with 3 year repack completed in 2017, man overboard pole and life ring.

Rosie Davies joined the marine industry working as crew on a 43m Motor Yacht and an Oyster 885 Sailing yacht based out of Palma, Mallorca. Back in the UK, she gained her brokerage experience working in marina operations and boat sales near London.

An RYA Senior Instructor, Advanced Sailing, Windsurfing and Powerboat Instructor Rosie is confident handling a wide variety of vessels and as Chief Instructor at a busy water-sports centre, she gained a great deal of experience in the industry - all whilst studying an English Literature and Creative Writing Degree in her spare time.
