Cruise Bluewater or Liveaboard!
Hav Vind (Sea Wind) was designed by renowned Canadian marine architect Stan Huntingford, one of six C & L Explorer 36 hulls built in Kaohsiung, Taiwan ROC in 1983 by C & L Marine Corp. Other Huntingford designs include the Maple Leaf (42,45,48,54), Rafiki (35,37), Passport (42,51), and Cooper (353,367,416).
Hav Vind was built in the golden era of fiberglass boat construction. Her hull is solid hand-laid fiberglass. Decks are hand molded fiberglass with end-grain balsa core and teak overlay. Hav Vind is a masthead sloop rig. Her keel is a modern fin design with an inboard hung rudder aft of a partial skeg.
Hav Vind is a spritely and seaworthy cruiser with beautiful, classic lines. Her stem is raked and her stern is plumb. She has a large foredeck with teak-capped bulwarks and wide side decks that lead aft past a low trunk cabin to an aft cockpit.
Below decks is an interior that is open and comfortable, with many new or updated components. The main salon is warm and cozy with ample teak and soft comfortable cushions. All cushions below are 4" thick mildew-proof foam and new fabric, replaced in 2009.
This vessel is very complete, with a new Volvo 40HP Engine(2016), radar, plotter, autopilot, diesel forced air heat (new Wallas unit not yet installed), inflatable dinghy w/outboard, Harken roller furling (new 2010) with 120% genoa, full-battened main with 2 reef points, barbecue, full enclosure around Iverson dodger/bimini (new 2009), and a full boat winter cover (new in 2014). In short, Hav Vind is decked out and ready to go!
If you're looking for a solid cruising boat, capable of bluewater passage-making but readily managed by a couple, this would be a great fit. She is moored at the Everett Marina, with that slip readily transferable to a new owner.
