The DeFever 43 Sun Deck trawler is a full displacement, 2 stateroom vessel. The forward cabin has two single berths in a vee configuration with drawers and cabinets underneath. Overhead is a large hatch for both light and fresh air. The chain locker is forward of the berths. There are four opening ports, reading lights and overhead lighting.
Just aft of this cabin on the starboard side is the guest head with a stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water in a teak cabinet and a Vacuflush fresh water toilet.
In the center, just aft is the entrance to the engine room and to port, the staircase to the lower helm and the salon. In the spacious engine room are the twin Ford Lehman 120 diesels, the twin velvet drive transmissions, four 8D batteries, an Onan 7.5 KW generator in an Onan sound shield with its own battery, twin freshwater tanks, twin 300 gallon fuel tanks, the Magnum Energy 2512 Inverter/Charger, a Raritan water heater heated both by the engine or electricity, a tool box with all the tools needed for routine maintenance and plenty of spares.
The salon has a large L shaped settee to port with generous storage beneath and a beautiful dining table plus two side sliding pilot doors allowing quick and easy access to the side and foredecks. There are two sliding screened windows and one fixed window in the salon for excellent ventilation and light.
Both the upper and lower helms have Raymarine multi-function displays for the radar, chart plotter, GPS, depth sounder and autopilot. They also have the controls for the Naiad stabilizers and the Vetus bow thruster as well as VHF radios, compasses, engine instruments and horn. In addition, the lower helm has the inverter/battery charger display and control as well as the main electric power panel.
