THUMPER is one of the highly regarded Newman 32 downeast cruisers which was built by Newman Marine and finished by Lee Wilbur in southwest harbor, ME, and has proven heritage and seakeeping qualities. She underwent extensive restoration in 2006, to include new Yanmar diesel(low hours), and has been further upgraded under current ownership. Hand laid and heavily built solid fiberglass hull with fiberglass over plywood decks and house tops.

Rode locker right forward with v- berth next aft and stowage under. Aft to port is the galley with Hillerange 2 burner propane stove with oven; ice Box; sink with hot and cold pressure water. the enclosed head is opposite to starboard with manual head and 15 gallon holding tank, sink with cold water. The finish below is white paint with varnished trim.
Moving up and aft is the enclosed pilot house with with fixed sides and curtains aft. Helm station and varnished helm seat to starboard and varnished dinette to port. Port and starboard sides of windshield are hinged to provide additional ventilation. Windshield wipers. Headliner in pilothouse was recently replaced. Headroom is 6' 2".
Cockpit area is spacious with bench seat aft, and teak swim platform.
-Soda blasted bottom and no blistering found. Applied 4 coats of Interlux Barrier coating Applied three coats Micron 66

-Upgraded Ray Marine C-90 with charts for the East Coast and Bahamas.

-Replaced s/w water pump on Yanmar
-Replaced belts on Yanmar
-Rebuilt Transmission on Yanmar to "like new" specs.
-Removed aft engine mounts , sandblasted and repainted and reinstalled
