Comfort awaits you in the cabin of Bottom Time. She was built with a custom house, which was fully remodeled in 2016. Starboard side cushioned bench seating snugly fits four adults and storage for life jacks is beneath the cushion. A cabinet is located forward and has a table top on which you can store books and maps or anchor down a microwave or coffee maker. Across on port is a galley with two cupboards, a double stainless steel sink, and a Dickinson Adriatic stove/oven combo which doubles as a cabin heater. Pressure water, as well as 10 gallons of hot water, serves the galley. Beyond the galley is a four person cushioned dinette. Take a few steps up into the pilothouse and you will find a large wooden dash with plenty of room for all the electronics which come with this package, plus room for more. A cushioned passenger bench seat with a flip down foot rest seats two adults. The captain s bench seat has a sliding door next to it, really helpful when docking, chatting with passengers on the side deck, or to let in the sea breeze. Both pilothouse seats double as storage options. A platform behind the seats is walled with windows so you have a nice 360-degree view of your surroundings. The steps up to the pilothouse also can be raised to reveal steps down from the main cabin into a v-berth area, where four single berths open more flexible options for your enjoyment of Bottom Time.
Bottom Time s recent life was as a dive boat out of Seward, but her expansive deck space can be used for a myriad of purposes. She has wide side decks with sturdy high railing that work well for having multiple fishermen dropping lines in the water. Or passengers can stroll around the entire circumference of the boat while whale watching or enjoying a glacier cruise. Come aboard Bottom Time by way of her wide grated swim deck and transom opening. The swim deck also has a fold down ladder to make it easy to come aboard her when she is on land or you are in the water. The large aft deck has plenty of bench seating, enough for nine to 12 adults, depending on the activity. A partial overhang keeps rain from blowing or dripping into the cabin and provides a quick place to duck out of a squall. The overhand also has a hanging rod feature for your wet/dry suits or fishing gear. Ample deck lighting brightens up those early mornings or late day hours on the water. A forward facing remote control spotlight helps with dark time docking. One of the best features of Bottom Time s deck is the exterior access to the vessel s head. During inclement weather, your passengers can easily utilize the head facility and you can keep the cabin dry. The head has a small hand sink and a soap dispenser and there is plenty of room to use it as a clothes changing area. Access to the roomy, clean engine compartment is through one of three hatches in the deck floor under the overhang. A deck hose wash down system lets you spray away the full and busy day at sea.
Two reliable 280 horsepower Volvo TAMD 71B diesel engines provide nice power behind this 42-footer. She cruises nicely at 19 knots at 2200 rpm and has a top speed of 25 knots. Bottom Time carries a whopping 429 gallons of fuel in her three fuel tanks to carry you through a full day and more of fishing, hunting or exploring. She has hydraulic steering with morse cable, twin disc MG-506 reduction gear and 12v oil change pumps.
All the electronics you need for navigation and safety are included in this excursion package.
