41' Islander Freeport '76 "Windseaker"
Thirty Islander Freeports were built in the 70s and several of them have circumnavigated. A strong power plant and nearly 200 gallons of fuel ensures safe passages when the wind conditions are not cooperating. She is light, bright and airy. Plus, the 6’10” headroom makes her most accommodating for the offshore passages and living aboard.
The forward cockpit companionway accesses the main salon which features a large U-shaped settee and dinette to starboard and an in-line galley to port. Forward of the salon is the guest cabin featuring a large V-berth with a guest shower and head to starboard. The galley is extended aft with the refrigerator and freezer being outboard of the walk through and engine access inboard. To starboard, aft of the settee, is a usable office/storage area.
The aft master cabin can be accessed either through the walkway from the salon or from the cockpit’s aft companionway. The master suite features a very comfortable oversized berth aft, nav station to starboard, hanging lockers and drawers to port and a centerline enclosed head with shower.
There is ample counter space and storage throughout the vessel.
