We know our listings inside and out. We are aboard every boat we represent. If the person you are corresponding with has never been aboard this vessel, and lacks firsthand knowledge and details on your very first inquire you are not speaking with the listing broker.
A true European designed classic.
Price reduced over 10k May 11th.
There was a time in yachting when a designer would sit down at a drafting table and begin to sketch out sleek beautiful lines. The lines would eventually become a beautiful sailing yacht. The hull would be a work of art, a perfect marriage of beauty and performance. The hull was everything. The interior may have been approached with the same flare for elegance but never at the cost of the hull design. A proper yacht was to look exquisite at anchor, and sail as good as she looked. The interior was designed to fit into the hull, rather than a hull wrapped around an interior as we see in so many boats today.
This is a proper sailing yacht from another era in yachting. It is sleek, beautiful, and a performer. It is slim and trim and boasts one of the finest pedigrees known to yachting built by the centuries old, world renown, Camper and Nicholsons.
This is a two owner boat and has been generously cared for by the second owner since 1991. Extensively and professionally refit top to bottom, inside and out in 1999, the boat embarked on a 10 year round the world voyage in 2000 during which additional work was completed including a fabulous redesign of the aft stateroom.
This boat shows better than many boats a fraction of its age. While the hull, and fixed interior pieces are 1974, there is little on the boat that predates 1999 with subsequent upgrades following.
This is an exceptional value for a buyer seeking a sleek European sailing vessel.
It will fall short for those looking for amenities like a walk around queen berth, separate shower stall, a massive galley and a salon you can dance in. If these are prerequisites please continue your search. This is a proper sailing yacht not a condominium on the water.
It is best suited for those shopping in the 40-42 foot range.
Headroom in the salon is 6'1".
It will take a select buyer to appreciate this yacht. A buyer with great taste and a great eye for a proper sailing yacht. If that buyer is you we look forward to speaking with you in greater detail.

As you descend the forward companionway steps from the secure center cockpit there is an immediate sense that this is a proper yacht interior. The stately high gloss wood finishes, the generous light streaming through the dead lights (windows) and large over head hatch, all translate to a feeling of quality, strength, and refinement.
To starboard of the companionway is the well appointed galley with ample countertop space, multiples of drawers and lockers, large top loading and front loading refrigeration box, a massive 3 compartment heavily insulated front loading freezer, 2 burner stove (no oven), a round stainless steel sink, and well thought out touches, like a pull out cutting board to yield a workable space that is simple, functional and straight forward.
Port of the galley and aft of the salon is the rear facing nav station with large nav table, A/C D/C electrical panels, electronics, chart stowage, and stowage under the seat. Plot the course of your dreams from this well thought out station. Custom storage areas added above the nav table look factory and are very handy.
Forward of the nav station and to port of the galley is the main salon. This vessel offers a U Shaped Settee with seating for 6. The salon's U Shaped Settee with a large high low table in the center is sure to be the venue for many wonderful meals and an equal amount of memorable conversations. The storage below behind and above the settees lets you bring along everything you need and even a little you don't. Enjoy a proper meal with friends on the large dining table, or keep it all to yourself for a romantic dinner for two. Recline and relax with your favorite book and let the afternoon slip away when in-climate weather presides.
Forward of the salon is the wet head (meaning no separate shower) featuring a large vanity, custom sink, storage cabinets, and easy to clean fiberglass walls. The head was completely resurfaced and updated in 2005.
Forward of the head is the private forward stateroom featuring a large 6'+ V-berth, hanging locker, shelving, plus great lighting and ventilation from an opening overhead hatch. After a long day of sailing, or just some fun relaxing in the sun, the forward stateroom is a great place to rest and recharge for the exciting day ahead.
Guest Forward Cabin:
The passageway runs down the starboard side of the cockpit aft of the galley. The head clearance is very low but the passageway is spacious featuring a captain’s berth, with storage above and below, and two removable doors providing access to the engine compartment.
Moving aft through the passageway or coming down the steps from the cockpit (this is a walk over and walk through) you enter the aft master stateroom featuring a large aforthships double berth, multiple drawers, shelf, 2 large hanging lockers and great ventilation through the companionway doors and an overhead hatch. The accommodations are complete and comfortable. The aft stateroom was completely reconfigured in 2005 yielding a more functional master berth. The work was beautifully done and looks factory.
Aft Master Cabin:
Forward in the Master Stateroom is the on-suite wet head meaning no separate shower featuring a large vanity, custom sink, storage cabinets, and easy to clean fiberglass walls. The head was completely resurfaced and updated in 2005.
A complete electronics suite makes navigation a breeze anywhere in the world you may find yourself.
The boat is wired for 240v AC, 120v AC, 24v DC and 12v DC.
All onboard DC systems are 24v, except for the electronics which are 12v.
There is 50 amp 240v AC service. Most AC systems are 120v except the refrigeration which is 240v with a 120v assist.
The boat was completely rewired including all new service panels, breakers, switches etc. during the 1999 refit.
The proper size safe deep offshore center cockpit is a cozy safe place to hide in in-climate weather, relax at anchor, and command the vessel. The helm is well laid out with engine controls and electronics in easy reach. The removable helm seat is great underway and out of the way the rest of the time. Two facing bench style seats are great for entertaining guests or for a romantic cocktail hour as the sun slips below the horizon. The hardtop has over 6' of headroom and offers great shade. The windscreen's solid lexan is easier to see out than isinglass and works as a hard dodger. 3 soft enclosure pieces allow the cockpit to be completely enclosed. Side boarding doors allow for exceptional protection from boarding waves as well as easy cockpit access.
The deck layout is functional and easy to traverse making moving about under sail or at anchor safe and effortless. Anchoring is made easy with a wonderful windlass and ground tackle package. At the dock, under sail, or at anchor, this vessels topsides have all you need to enjoy every moment.
