She is a 50' DeFever command bridge trawler style motor yacht with a custom upper bridge enclosure. This vessel is in excellent condition, she has had a lot of major upgrades done to her systems ,such as an Isolation Transformer etc, and structure over the the last several years. She is production built of traditional smooth carvel plank on frame construction by the Oriental Boat Company (Yokosuka, Japan) in 1970, and currently powered by a single, in-line four cylinder diesel engine through reversing gears to conventional propeller. The hull has flared bows, round turn of bilge, modified “V” underbody with full-length keel, rudder support, with a curved transom stern. The layout consists of forepeak chain locker, followed by two forward cabins each containing two stacked single berths, a starboard side toilet compartment with vanity, vacuum head, and stall shower. Next up, the main cabin contains starboard side lower helm, door casements to side decks and aft deck, dinette, settee, galley, steps down to aft cabin and up to command bridge. The aft cabin contains double berth, dresser and stowage, port toilet compartment with vacuum head, vanity, stall shower, and companionway to aft deck.
Access to the machinery space is through a scuttle forward or from the aft cabin. The boat house is available for the next owner and added as a package with the boat, with a new price to be determined if required.
