The Rawson 30 is a well known offshore capable cruiser built by Rawson Boat Builders out of Redmond, WA. Shady Grove has been 90% restored, with a 2013 rebuild of her Volvo MD2B diesel. Many of the electrical and mechanical systems onboard were replaced or rebuilt by the previous owner. Current owner purchased in January 2017 with hopes of living aboard and had recently replaced standing rigging and installed new chainlates and refinished the bottom (stripped and epoxied with new paint 2017). The mast is stepped with new standing rigging and new halyards. An optional furling system can be added for $850 (includes furler install, luff tape modification of jib). Recent change in plans put the current owner in Japan for business opportunity, so Shady Grove is waiting for her next owner. She has been priced to reflect the seller's motivation to move "Shady Grove" to a new owner. There is a January 2017 marine survey available in our office. Survey value stated "as is" at $12,000.
The large main cabin windows show signs of minor winter leaks, so most likely will require rebedding. All other lockers, opening hatches and ports appear dry.
She has a 2 full sets of sails (main & jib), 1 set nearly new condition, and an older spinnaker.
The 1967 Rawson 30 "Shady Grove" is stored on the hard in Anacortes. Please make an appointment by calling or texting Mike Mullenberg at 425-998-8731.
