CAROLINE has been cruising the waters of the northwest with pride as; GIL'S GAL, DE-HOPE CHEST & SEA HORSE. The condition and originality of this vessel display the pride of ownership her owners have had, and will enjoy going forward. The Ed Monk, Sr. design has proven itself as a sea boat in many applications from pleasure to commercial fishing boats.
The lapstreak tender is fitting and proper for the esthetics of the vessel, but an inflatable can also be affixed to the transom for utility. The uniqueness of a transom door in this vintage vessel is a modern feature for ease of access to the swim-step or dockside @ floating moorages.
Cruising electronics include a Garmin GPS & Nobeltech Navigation software. There are also dual trumpet Air Horns with designated compressor. The owner reports the cruising speeds he has enjoyed are 7.5 knots @ 1750 RPM to 9.5 knots @ 2250. With a top speed of 17 knots she has the power to run fast, but the dignity to cruise comfortably.
