Else is a Arthur Robb designed Lion Class sloop built by the Cheoy Lee yard in Hong Kong in 1962. Designed as cruiser-racers during the CCCA rule era, they proved to be quite fast. A lion class, Siandra, won the Sydney-Hobart in 1958 and again in 1960.  She's a perfect boat classics racing and cruising in New England.

Else is teak planked, copper rivited to ipol frames and iron floors.  According to her owner, a boat builder, "Many of the original iron floors have been replaced in the bow and over the ballast keel.  Her keel bolts are original and will eventually need to be replaced.  The teak cabin sides along with carved hanging knees look great and are in good shape. The interior is working but could use some tlc."  She has a Vetus 3 cyl. diesel and is currently stored at her owners house in Lincolnville, ME.
