The ship was built in 1961 by the shipyard Lühring Brake / Weser (Germany) as an inspection and
research vessel commissioned by the state of Lower Saxony. The hull is made of high riveted steel,
build according to the plan of a rescue boat of the DGzRSR (German Company to save castaways)
The state of Lower Saxony sold the ship in 1984 with a new engine.
The ship is a seagoing vessel with ice class A1 / North Sea. Home port is Cuxhaven, where the ship is registered. It sails under German flag.
The ship is all year in water and has electricity, telephone and water supply from land.
It’s inhabitable both summer and winter, has oil and electric central heating, domestic hot water treatment and air conditioning. Lounge, sun deck, bridge, sleeping rooms and a fully equipped office space offers a beautiful and professionally atmosphere.
Due to the construction and equipment, the ship is able to
reach (almost) any point of earth.
