"Bubbles" is Beautifully maintained, completely refinished,. She is Boathouse and freshwater moored vessel... (Her current Boathouse could be available at an extra cost and local Yacht Club membership..or her house can be relocated..if desired, please inquire on further expense) "Bubbles has had an amazing life and really has a special life story, she was fully restored and maintained by a shipwright Roy Dunbar at Dunbar Marine Services in Seattle. All of her brightwork was refinished in 2012 (moored in boathouse since 2014) and covered with ten coats of Varnish... "Bubbles is hull number 94720 WA. She was built in 1959 by the Matthews Company in Port Clinton, Ohio. There were many many extra's and upgrades during the build process as:
Dual controls for deckhouse, including helm seat, footrest and windshield wiper.
Alternate dinette setting with wrap around seating for more guests and is located opposite galley for convenience includes swivel seat.
Teak aft swimstep and cockpit floor.
Mahogany boarding ladder.
additional fender cleats.
Shower bath ordered for Master head. And much much more! Available are all of her record, from original order Dealer Boat Order from Puget Sound Marine out of Seattle, the welcome letter from Matthews to buyer, Change orders, all receipts, original brochures and pictures Even the Western Union Telegram communications for the transport aboard New York Central Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad!
Her journey began, of course, at the Port Clinton yard in Ohio where she was built for a family in Seattle, WA She was then shipped by train, four different railroad companies to her new home. Bubbles lived on the Puget Sound most of her life, Living under a covered moorage mostly on Lake Union and the Ballard locks where she was very well known for years... Her restoration was done on Lake Union by a now retired shipwright..She was she did have her engines repwered to Chris Craft 350's in the late 1990's it is believed by her current owner to be 1999...
Her story is well documented with original receipts and many pictures... I can't wait to get you aboard this vessel. She is truly one of a kind... weather you are looking to cruise, live aboard, carry on her legacy at a wooden boat show... "Bubbles" can do it all, and she will proudly!
Interior Forward is the spacious, private V Berth with plentiful storage and a sink. The berth's are larger sized single berths.
Next is the large settee to port in a u-shaped arrangement with additional seat that swings under the table and out of the way when not in use. Directly across to starboard is the U shaped complete galley with stove, oven, fridge and microwave. Lots of storage and counter space to work with.
Up 3 easy steps is a large salon with great visibility all the way around, easily fits a nice size couch and chairs and includes the lower helm and access to the sun deck and Master aft cabin.
Heading down a couple of steps the the aft master cabin, you'll see 2 nice sized double berths, one to port one to starboard, you will notice plentiful storage drawers and hanging lockers and a head with separate stall shower, the master also has access to the cockpit that can be used privately or while entertaining and enjoying the outdoors.
Out to the sun deck and flying bridge. With amazing visibility and complete enclosure, you'll find a great seating area perfect for entertaining or just enjoying the view. A very unique table that can be used as a cocktail table or easily raises for a dining and or serving area.
