Built in circa 1925 to a William Hand's design Raised Deck Cruiser. "GADFLY" is a classic design of the twenties by the noted designer. She is a modified vee with skeg hull form built with wood plank on frame construction. The yacht was restored in circa 1998 and over the last ten years maintained by a leading New England shipyard and knowledgeable shipwright. She has reportedly earned the following acclaims:
