Aspen Power Catamarans is excited to announce their new 30- foot outboard design. This will be the first twin engine model entering their lineup. To stay true to their unique hull form, they will have an asymmetrical engine setup. the starboard hull will carry a 200 horsepower motor on her transom, as the main thrust. On the port side, there will be a 25 horsepower high thrust kicker motor mounted on a vertical jack plate, allowing it to be easily lifted out of the water when not in use. Just like with all Aspen designs, this outboard model will cruise on the main engine which will allow for top speed 28 knots. this 30 foot outboard is designed to maximize fuel economy around 22-24 knots. At lower speeds you can combine the smaller, 25 horsepower engine, with the main engine to provide easy maneuverability for task as docking or other close -quarter maneuvering. The smaller engine will also be able to be operated independently for activities like sport fishing or trolling. The 30-OB has an estimated cost of $179,000. Concurrently, Aspen Power Catamarans will also be introducing a similar outboard package option for their current C90 and C100 models.
