Take a look at this beauty! All  reasonable offers presented and considered! Seller wants to be SOLD asap!

The "No Vacancy" will arrived at my dock (5/12/2018) as she is in the process of spring commissioning and a full detailing!

She is such a unique smaller and easily handled trawler (has bow thruster too!), great for one couple cruising and has a galley up with fridge and freezer and convection microwave and deep stainless sink with air conditioning and generator!

With only 162.8 hours of first owner use, this is like buying a new boat for much less than waiting to build one! I would highly encourage your inspection asap if you are down sizing to a one couple, stout pocket cruiser that has the feel of a much larger yacht!!

Owner's Comments:

When I proposed to Nancy, it had only one caveat “I come with a trawler and if that doesn’t work, our marriage won’t either”. Turned out wonderful. In fact, she talked folks out of buying my previous boat three times! Only after we agreed to be part of the design of a new hull number one, did she relent. We were fortunate to be able to travel to Seattle and participate in the design of a new small trawler, using the original Camano molds and completely redesigning the interior. No Vacancy is the result. She has the fit and finish of much higher end trawlers. Her teak and holly is equal to anything on the market, with corian counters, oversized stainless rails, cleats, anchor pulpit and more. No plastic or gimmicks or plywood covered with carpet. Just a real, tough little trawler that lives much bigger than her length and beam. Storage space everywhere and a separate full shower and dry head. You won’t find that in anything its size or price.  A “little guy” built to play with  the big boys.  As we did for many years on our previous trawler, we sailed the Chesapeake on No Vacancy and as far south as Beaufort with her, enjoying the daily journey and the wonderful ports of call along the way. Unfortunately we had to head back north this spring. No doubt she would have made a perfect couples boat to do the whole loop.

Our decision to put her on the market, far sooner than we had planned, is bitter sweet at best. We had intended to do the loop with her, but no longer have that option. However, our change in plans will allow some lucky couple to take her across her own wake someday. If purchased today, the wait to have her built would be substantial and far more costly. Indeed, she may be one of a kind, with all the bells and whistles of hull number one, including custom chairs from Glastop Marine Furniture, custom mattress from Handcraft Mattress, real brass Weems and Plath fixtures, custom Arrigoni hi/lo table, full Garmin upper and lower helms, generator, bow thruster and more. We can’t wait to check out the blog from her new proud owners as they live their “someday” on the water.

Michael and Nancy, Owners

Helmsman Trawlers have returned the venerable Camano 31 hull to the water with this new model -- and this example is a showpiece. She was built with several unique features -- a custom interior with full use of teak and holly throughout, storage/seating bench topside, hardtop cockpit cover, Fighting Lady Yellow hull color, custom salon barrel chairs, custom folding dining/cocktail table, custom mattress and more. This boat has exceptionally low hours and is available only because the owners' plans have changed.

This compact trawler offers amazing comfort and live-ability for a couple with a large galley, lots of storage throughout, and a master suite (with separate head and shower compartments) comparable to much larger boats. The flybridge is comparatively enormous.

Powered by a Hyundai SeasAll V6 diesel which must be experienced to be appreciated for its smooth, quiet power.

The craftsmanship throughout this boat is remarkable -- the stainless work, the joinery and the tough fiberglass layup.

A perfect boat for the Great Loop!
