From the exquisite cherry woodwork to the sleek LED lighting scheme, this beautiful 2013 Catamaran is a can’t miss. Designer Erik Lerouge flawlessly combines livability with performance in this modern masterpiece. Comparable in design to a 44’ Antares, dubbed “the world’s best liveaboard”, the Serene takes what makes an Antares great and improves on it. The Serene, with its revolutionary 53’ hull design, offers you more speed and more boat. The pristine Serene interior improving upon the dated 1980’s design of the Antares, is both elegant and functional. Whether living aboard to sail the seven seas or hosting family and friends for a day out on the water, she can truly do it all.
The thoughtfully drawn out hull design is the secret to the fast pace she sets. The fiberglass hull composition is unique in the sense that within the two layers of fiberglass, there is a vacuum packed center core allowing it to be completely monolithic which in turn means that it is much lighter compared to the majority of other catamarans her size. The lighter weight and tunnel height is what allows her to move quickly and agilely through big waves.
The owners of this boat dreamed of sailing around the world while living aboard the vessel. Unfortunately, the wife of the couple became acutely seasick and it was decided that the best option was to sell. They named the Catamaran Hiva Oa, their original destination, named after the island in French Polynesia where the famous Belgian singer, Jacques Brel, and the French painter, Paul Gaugin, are buried.
The interior woodwork is gorgeous, made of natural light cherry throughout by a master carpenter. On the Starboard side you will find the Master Stateroom aft and the master bath forward. In between the two are separate washer and dryer, as well as a large freezer for long distance cruising.
On the port side are 2 VIP staterooms with queen sized berths, each with their own shower and heads. There is ample storage between the two cabins.
The salon, galley, and navigation station are in one large area. The salon dining area seats ten comfortably and can be converted into berths for two more guests. The salon table folds out into a full dining room sized table or folds in as a smaller coffee table. In the cockpit there is a seating arrangement to Starboard for 6-8 guests.
The lighting scheme on this Catamaran is stunning, with blue underwater lights, blue courtesy lights on the steps leading up to the cockpit, and red overhead lights in the cockpit and Nav station for night time cruising. All the lights aboard are LED's.
This CAT was ordered by a professional sailor who wanted speed, comfort, and trans-oceanic capabilities. With a water-maker, extended water tanks, solar power, an inverter, a small Panda generator, 2 75 hp Yanmar engines, and a full complement of sails; she is ready for her next adventure!

A BUYER FOCUSED YACHT BROKERAGE COMPANY
International Yacht Brokerage (IYB1) specializes in helping yacht buyers find the right yacht at the right price. Our multilingual team of yacht consultants operate worldwide, and as a team. We have experience as captains, marine surveyors, helicopter and fixed-wing pilots, yacht management, and last, but certainly not least, yacht owners. This experience allows us to guide buyers like no other yacht brokerage team is capable.
Our “yacht brokers” are consultants that specialize in just a few brands within yacht segments such as sports fishing, medium sized motor yachts, long range yachts, mega yachts, etc. For example, our Nordhavn specialist has studied at the Nordhavn yard, and knows well the history of this shipyard and the different models developed over the years. He knows exactly which yachts are for sale, as well as well as those that are not officially for sale. He happens to also be a Nordhaven owner! This same yacht consultant has little experience with the Hatteras brand and would be ill-at-ease advising a yacht buyer in such a purchase. For this reason, we need to re-emphasize that our yacht consultants specialize by shipyard, so let us direct you to the yacht consultant that will be the most helpful for your yacht search.
We work in teams to be able to provide the highest service. For example, if you are looking for an explorer yacht of 150 feet from a German shipyard, the team will be composed of a full displacement specialist (Alex), a mega yacht expert (Alain), and a German speaker with finance and negotiating expertise (Pat). The multi-national team speaks the following languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Arabic, Russian, and Swedish. IYB1’s multi-national presence will also help you find the best deal since price differences between locations can be as much as 40% due to exchange rate fluctuations.
We don’t just find the best yacht to fit your budget, we also arrange the following on the behalf behalf of our clients: haul outs, surveys and sea trial, financing, class inspections, refit, crew recruitment, yacht management, shipping and unloading, ocean deliveries, electric conversion, registry deletion and foreign registrations, and last but not least, maritime lawyers to protect your investment. IYB1 also works with a team of transport experts, marine electricians, captains, and customs agents to ensure that your new vessel arrives in your marina safely and in time.
