Introducing the much sought after Ranger Tugs R-31 Command Bridge!
Your Cruising Options Are Limitless
The R-31 Command Bridge was the first Ranger Tug to feature a flybridge equipped with electronic controls at both the upper and lower helms. Maintaining the hallmark of all Ranger Tugs, the R-31 is trailerable by simply retracting the flybridge and lowering the mast which greatly expands your cruising range.
Safe and convenient steps lead to the open-air freedom and extra space of the flybridge. The R-31 also has expanded on-deck entertaining options with foredeck seating area with a retractable cocktail table. In addition, the R-31 features a large cockpit area with wrap-around bench seating that folds out of the gunwale. When retracted inboard, the seats are out of the way, leaving the cockpit wide open and unencumbered. Also featured in the cockpit is refrigerator, sink and molded-in storage cabinet.
The cabin of the R-31 is filled with light and has outstanding ventilation from the large-view windows and opening skylight hatches. This well-designed interior features two staterooms – one large island berth forward with en-suite head, and one midship berth with day head. The dinette converts to a third double-berth for added guest capacity. A starboard side door provides easy access from the lower helm to the side decks and bow for entertaining and convenient, safe line handling. The comfortable lower helm station maximizes interior space with a seat that flips forward and out of the way when not in use. The galley utilizes the starboard cabin for expansive space and features a sink, refrigerator, inverter, microwave and propane oven and stove. The electric marine head features overboard discharge option, sink and shower.
This Ranger Tug R-31 is literally turn-key with standard features and equipment intended to make her next owner’s experience hassle-free and allow for ease of handling and comfort under way. In addition, this R-31 was order with just about every possible option available at the time of her build, including bow and stern thrusters, Aft bimini top with boot, full side enclosures, 2-zone air conditioning with reverse cycle heating, duplicated electronics for both helms, and a 5kW Onan generator just to name a few.
Combining a trailerable 31-foot hull, admirable cruising range, smooth ride, responsive performance and the comfort and views from the flybridge, the R-1 Command Bridge will create lasting memories on all your cruising adventures.

2015 Ranger Tugs R-31CB (Command Bridge)
The R-31 shares many of the features and qualities of her smaller sisterships but some notable additions to this larger model make her ideal for extended cruising while still being a trailerable trawler. The R-31 is the first Ranger Tug to feature a flybridge equipped with electronic controls at both the upper and lower helm. The flybridge also retracts to allow for trailering the 31’. The builders at Ranger Tugs also equipped the foredeck with seating and a table that can be raised or lowered depending on whether the boat is under way or at anchor or dock for entertaining. In addition to the extra seating now available on the flybridge and foredeck the R-31 allows for a larger cockpit area with wraparound seating and extra seating that folds out of the gunwale. When not entertaining, seats are folded leaving the cockpit unencumbered.
The interior layout of the R-31 features two staterooms—one large island berth forward with en suite head and a midship berth and day head. Those who are familiar with Ranger Tugs models will recognize the galley layout and lower helm station that maximize interior space.
