The Catalina 28 Mk II is a really spacious, and comfortable 28 footer. The interior is light and well appointed with galley and head close to the companionway, 2 good sized bunks and a comfortable salon. The exterior is easy to walk around and has a large cockpit, with walk-through transom that makes access to the water really easy.
This is a fabulous boat for a couple or a young family, the systems are simple, so you can concentrate on the sailing!. If you don't want too much to handle, but want to get out on the water, this is the boat for you.

The engine compartment forms part of the companionway and hinges forward for easy access. Below the cockpit and behind the engine, is an open plan aft cabin with storage and double berth which runs athwartships. The well-appointed galley is to starboard and head to port. Forward of the head is the icebox, the top of which can be used as a nav table. Forward of the icebox and the galley is the salon with straight settees on either side. The table is midships and the port side of the table is fixed, while the starboard side folds down to allow easy access to the V-berth.
The V-berth can be closed off with a bi-fold door. It has standing space when the insert is removed and has a large hatch that gives good light and ventilation. Storage is below the bunk and there is a shelf across the forward end of the cabin.
