Ultra-luxurious rocket-ship from Overmarine in 2003. Twin 2,000hp MTUs with low hours and Arneson surface drivers power this floating luxury apartment to speeds well in excess of 40 knots. Extensively refited and ready for the new season.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
THE MEPHISTO was built by Italy’s Overmarine yard in 2003 as one of the yard's popular semi-custom Mangusta 80 series. Fitted out as an Open version with retractable bimini above her air-conditioned luxury cockpit, THE MEPHISTO is powered by twin MTU V16 2,000hp turbo diesels connected to Arneson surface drives which power her to a cruising speed of approx 40 knots and on to a maximum speed of circa 46 knots. Her 6,000 litre fuel capacity allows for a range of approx 350Nm at cruising speed, and much more at lower speeds.
With accommodation below decks for us to seven in a fantastic full-beam master suite, VIP stateroom, further twin cabin plus crew cabin the forepeak.
In September 2013, she completed a scheduled winter refit with new exterior paint, upgrades to the interior décor and a full service of the engines and generators. Further refit works were completed in 2015 and THE MEPHISTO remains in ‘ready to go’ order for the 2018 season.
The Mangusta brand was created in 1985 by the Balducci family, in the business since 1960 and still at the head of the company, Overmarine Group today. Under this brand-name, Overmarine build fast maxi open yachts and luxury long range yachts under the Mangusta along with peacekeeping and coastguard ships elsewhere in the Group.
With over 300 yachts sold and so many years in the business, Mangusta approaches the market today with its own uniqueness. Following a cross-sector development trend it is proposing three different lines of product, each the expression of innovative technical and technological content, that allows the Owners to experience the sea dependant on their own personal interpretation
The line of the tradition is that of the Maxi Opens a segment in which the Group is a market leader. It is the Mediterranean yacht par excellence, that allows you to dart from one place to the other in outstanding comfort (in terms of quietness, stabilisation and vibration) and in spaces inside and out that are large and exquisitely balanced.
The Overmarine Group spans 10 production facilities in Tuscany, Italy, in the areas of Viareggio, Massa and Pisa, totalling around 190,000m2 of indoor and outdoor space. It also has two wharfs in the port of Viareggio, equipped for the final preparation of the yachts, layover and the after sales service. All processes are carried out within the Group’s companies, from designing and making moulds, to moulding, lamination in composite materials, cutting the steel through to fitting the interiors, including the electronics and onboard systems. The Group also has its own in-house Design Dept. able to satisfy all the layout and decor demands of our Owners, as well as a cutting-edge Technical Office and After Sales service available 24/7.
