BRILLIANT is a very special and highly customized single-stateroom hardtop express with full hard enclosure on sides, and removable Eisenglass drop curtains aft. The aft cockpit area has a custom Pipewelders bimini-type top that extends from the hardtop. She offers new Reman Cummins QSB power (under warranty), an Onan generator, inverter, and high quality electronics. Below deck, BRILLIANT features a unique arrangement plan specifically designed for extended live-about cruising for two. Custom highlights include maximized hanging locker space and residential-scale separate stall shower, and a huge forward MSR with full-beam king-sized V-berth. The aft cockpit area is covered with a custom bimini top and the hydraulic swim platform is the finishing touch. Upon comparison, knowledgeable yachtsmen will appreciate BRILLIANT’s perfect combination of Quality, Condition, Features and Price. This yacht is seriously offered ready to move aboard and start cruising.
Single Stateroom versus Two Stateroom Layout – If you are predominately one couple cruisers, then the custom Single Stateroom layout makes a lot of sense. The Settee area opposite the Galley below is a U-shaped settee instead of an L-shaped settee. More room to sit, eat, prepare a meal, and in general, relax and stretch out. And…this U- Settee converts to a full-sized berth for the occasional second couple or Grandkids to join you on a cruise.
The Galley has extra depth for larger storage lockers over the sink, and a large storage pantry closet with a full-length door was added between the Galley and Shower on the port side. The custom flush mounted Cabinets open up the Galley area, making it feel more spacious, while providing more storage.
The Single Stateroom offers a larger Head area on starboard and a completely separate, large private shower room with teak seat on port side – opposite the Head--unlike the two-stateroom model which has a much smaller Head/Shower. Both the Shower and the Head are each 33% larger than the two-stateroom model's Head, and that’s especially important in the enclosed Shower.
In BRILLIANT, the Master Stateroom forward does not make you feel claustrophobic at all. Her huge king-sized V-berth goes full beam with a cushioned seat in between. Easily upgraded with a drop-in filler, the bed is 7’ across! Much larger than a small queen/full island berth! To starboard there is a built-in teak chest of drawers and a large double-door cedar closet to port. The single Stateroom layout is fully one-third more spacious than the two-stateroom model and it feels it!
The Helm Deck is enclosed by a hardtop with opening windows on both sides, a center opening windshield window, a half door aft leading to the cockpit with roll-up top half, and a custom clear removable enclosure aft. The sole is teak with lift-up hatch access to engine room.
The Helm Deck area has twin fully adjustable electric Pompanette seats upholstered in Almond Ultraleather, that provide comfortable seating under way, then swivel to join the social setting. Aft to port is the L-settee and varnished teak table that folds up to cocktail size, to starboard is a smaller settee; all are upholstered to match the Helm chairs. A U-Line ice-maker is housed in the aft cabinet; a custom teak chart table flips open forward of the port companion chair.
There are 2 hatches overhead and 4 opening side windows for ventilation. A 16K BTU Marine Air system keeps the helm cool in summer and warm in winter.
Cockpit - Down two steps and aft is the large cockpit area with teak decks. A built in bench seat is forward to port with storage beneath. There is ample space for the additional custom upholstered chairs and a table in the cockpit. In addition there is also a custom cockpit Pipewelders laced Sunbrella bimini top. The lazarette provides additional storage for fenders.
There are three (3) hatches across the aft end for access to mechanicals. There is a transom door located to starboard to access the swim platform and swim ladder. Teak steps lead up to both port and starboard side decks.
The Salon/Dinette is located down and to starboard and features an U-settee with storage below and a Grand Banks teak hi/lo table. Storage lockers are located outboard and underneath.
The Galley is U-shaped and located to portside opposite the U-shaped convertable Settee, and features an electric Princess three burner cooktop, microwave/convection oven below, large stainless steel sink and lots of drawers and cabinets for storage. The under counter refrigerator with freezer compartment is by Norcold. Countertops are Corian Magna Sahara, and the sink cover is a set of teak cutting boards. Storage is ample in cabinets above and below the counters, and there is an opening side port over the stove. A feature on this single-stateroom model is the deep overhead cupboards that are recessed into the bulkhead against the sink area and make the Galley very open and airy feeling. Unlike the 2-stateroom model, where the overhead cupboards protrude into the Galley and make you feel constrained and crowded. Also, there is a large Pantry Closet immediately forward of the Galley for even more storage.
BRILLIANT has a very spacious MSR layout for cruising. Her huge Master Stateroom is forward and features a kingsize V-berth, reading lamps, bureau with 3 drawers, double door hanging locker space, full-length mirror and a custom teak overhead chart locker.
HEAD - On this single stateroom model the Head with vanity is located on the starboard side. It is larger than the 2-stateroom model by almost one third. It is and does feel much more roomy. There is a Vacuflush porcelain toilet, a large vanity with Corian countertop and sink. There is lots of storage both below and above the counter.
SHOWER - Located on the port side of the passageway, the Shower is a completely separate room from the Head. It is 39% larger than the 2-stateroom cramped shower (which is only 25" wide) that co-shares with its Head.
