The Voyage line of catamarans is renowned for double digit speed, innovative design features, head-turning good looks, and a build quality that it second to none. Designed by Alexander Simonis, this South African-built Sail Cat was built for both performance and comfort.
This never-chartered, ANTARES is set up for extended live aboard cruising and living aboard "on the hook". It was launched in January 2001 and is in very nice condition!
This particular NORSEMAN 43 was built with a unique "hybrid" layout that has 4 staterooms to accommodate a large owner's party, but instead of the usual 4 head compartments found on a Cat with a 'charter layout' it has only TWO head compartments with showers located midships; one in each hull. Thus the layout is very open and roomy with out crowding the interior with the 'extra' 2 heads. Also, the 2 head compartments are much larger than those found on a Cat which has the conventional 'Charter Layout'.
THUS, there are essentially two equal "Owner's Staterooms" located aft in BOTH the Port and Starboard hulls.
The equipment list includes solar panels, water-maker, cruise electronics, dinghy w/outboard, electric anchor windlass, and Harken roller furling. The solar panels provide plenty of power to keep the refrigeration systems cold while underway or at anchor.
ANTARES was delivered NEW to the current owners, a German couple who then crossed the South Atlantic to Brazil and on up the explore the northern coast of South America, Panama and Central America, and most of the Island nations of the Caribbean.
This vessel is very well-equipped for cruising and living aboard, and the 3.2 ft draft makes it ideal for Florida and Bahama cruising.
Their cruising adventures having been accomplished, the owners have left ANTARES here in Florida and have returned home to Germany. The Import tax has been paid, the boat has been detailed, and the vessel has been left with us for an immediate sale.
If you are looking for a well-equipped and nicely-maintained go-anywhere Sail Catamaran priced less than $250,000...your boat has arrived !
