Bred to be a classic in her own right, the evolutionary Egg Harbor 52 SportYacht artfully blends contemporary styling with the looks and functionality of a traditional sport-cruising yacht. The next generation of classic hull design, this 52-footer - with raised sheer line and enhanced Carolina flare - provides an extremely soft, dry ride while delivering unparalleled performance. Inside and out, the first Egg Harbor SportYacht tempers time-honored traditions with contemporary advances. The 52's expanded flybridge, a key distinguishing characteristic of the SportYacht line, rivals those found on 60-foot motor yachts. Fore and aft overhangs expand the usable space up top while streamlining the overall profile. The largest in its class, the cantilevered bridge shelters the cockpit while a starboard opening offers safer, easier topside access. The amidships helm provides good visibility in all directions. With a speed of 30-plus knots and various engine options, the high-performance, blue-water hull is designed to run 100 miles or more offshore to the canyon for fishing or to the islands for cruising. The range of power options offered for the 52 are twin Caterpillars 3406E (800 horsepower each), Series 2000 8VDDEC (900 horsepower each) or MAN D2840 LE403 (1050 horsepower each) engines. The large raised console, another design advance, has ample room to flush-mount a full complement of electronics. Egg Harbor has introduced a more sophisticated tooling which allows unitized construction of the cockpit, deck, bulkheads, and bow pulpit. This makes production more efficient and gives the vessel greater strength and rigidity. Forward of the amidships helm, to the port side, is a large wrap-around lounge. Spacious storage units are concealed in the seating and faring. The standard topside wetbar with a sink and bottle storage is available with an optional icemaker and refrigerator. With a 16-foot, 4-inch beam, the Egg Harbor SportYacht 52 accommodates a wealth of cockpit features including a complete bait prep center with tackle drawers, sink, and freezer. Standard equipment also includes two large lift-out fish boxes with macerator, livewell with recirculating pump, a large transom door, and four flush-mounted rod holders. There is ample drawer and locker storage, with additional stowage in the gunwales. Optional cockpit controls can be installed to port. The 52's impeccable interior and luxury accommodations reflect Egg Harbor's time-honored craftsmanship. Spanning the aft sections is a gracious salon. A large L-shaped designer sofa (with storage below) and a high - low table complement the arrangement. A wetbar with icemaker and dinette are portside. The standard full entertainment center includes a 20-inch remote color television - VCR and mini-rack stereo system with CD and FM antenna. The starboard galley features an island bar and wide, functional designer counters. Also standard are a designer sink and faucet and three-burner electric stove. A microwave oven, a 110V refrigerator and freezer, and an optional trash compactor are built into the island bar. Throughout the interior, carefully crafted cabinetry showcases excellent materials and quality equipment. The lower deck boasts three staterooms, including an expansive master suite with a queen-sized bed, built-in night tables, a dresser and a vanity, plus a cedar-lined walk-in closet and a complete master bath - all unusual amenities in a 52-foot yacht. Mirrored wardrobe doors and an overhead hatch with screen and sunshade add a feeling of spaciousness to the elegant master suite, which also enjoys an entertainment system and individual climate controls. The forward guest stateroom features a large walk-around bed; a richly finished, lighted hanging and linen locker; an overhead hatch; a private head entrance; and extensive drawer storage. The third stateroom has upper and lower berths plus ample storage. The washer and dryer is just off the companionway near the VIP stateroom. Egg Harbor Yacht Company uses a semi-custom, flexible manufacturing process to precision-build limited numbers of luxury yachts ranging in length from 37 to 60 feet. All Egg Harbor yachts are backed by a transferable, five year hull warranty and NMMA Certification.
