Good Points to Consider:

It is a large, comfortable boat built at a time when boats were made of heavier and better quality materials. Present owners are the boat’s second owners. The previous owners lived onboard for 14 years. The mainsail is old but even with this the boat achieves good speeds in any reasonable wind with 10.5 knots seen on a broad reach.

It has a large fixed bimini made from aluminium tubing covering the entire cockpit area. This has removable windscreens at the front and sunscreens on the other sides. The UV resistant canvas top cover was replaced in 2015. Rails are included for the mounting of solar panels.

The same large diameter aluminium tubing is used to form a large rear arch and davits with mounts for a radar and wind generator. There is a lifting point for an outboard motor.

The hull gel coat from the water line up was renewed in 2005 so the boat looks good for its age.

A Maxprop folding propeller has been fitted which reduces the drag when sailing and would cost $4K today.

A dripless shaft seal is fitted.

It has a reliable low tech Perkins 4236 engine which runs well and has 60psi oil pressure.

A 160watt solar panel is fitted and there is space for another four on the bimini frame

It has two new engine batteries in 2017 and four Trojan deep cycle house batteries replaced in 2017 and still under guarantee.

There are a large quantity of spare parts held onboard including a full set of injectors and spare pumps for the engine, a propeller and cutlass bearing and spare motor for the windlass.

The quality of the internal woodwork far exceeds that of more modern Beneteaus.

Cockpit cushions were and replaced in 2017.

It has a Doyle 135% furling genoa in good condition plus a spare smaller genoa in heavier material.

The stack pack mainsail cover was serviced in 2017 with new zips fitted.

It has a spinnaker and pole that have hardly been used.

The two fwd cabins have been converted to a single huge master cabin with a desk and additional seating and storage. There is internal access from this cabin to the two berth crew cabin in the forepeak which is used for storage.

All the hatches have sliding mosquito screens and the main companionway also has a mosquito screen that can replace the normal two piece plexiglass door.

The boat has very large capacity for both fuel and water. A fifth water tank has been converted to take fuel giving capacities of 775 litres of diesel and 1134 litres of water.

There is an engine driven watermaker with a capacity of 65ltr/hr.

There are 4 heads/showers plus a deck shower. One head has a holding tank and one is used as a laundry with a twin tub washing machine which works well.

It has very large cockpit lockers, a useful rope locker outboard on the port side plus two lockers in the stern plus a locker beneath the bathing ladder that takes three fuel containers.

There are cooling fans throughout the boat.

Curtains in the saloon and main cabin replaced in 2017.

There is a 1800 watt, 110v, 60 Hz inverter providing mains power to sockets throughout the boat plus a larger 3Kw inverter.

There is a modern flat screen TV with remote control wall mounted in the saloon.

Many of the sail control lines were replaced in 2017.

The boat is fully equipped with linen and domestic equipment plates, pots and pans etc.

It has always been a non smoking boat.
