Fantastic deal on a classic with a huge 144 sq. ft. fishing cockpit. This Viking has the "plan A" layout which features a two stateroom/head layout down, and salon, dinette, & galley up. The genset is a 13kw Kohler (2200 hours)
The reason for the great price is that one (the port engine) of the twin J&T Detroit 8v92ti (705hp) diesels suffered a major component failure just 390 hours after an in-frame overhaul. the cam follower failed & broke off damaging the engine.
The starboard engine has just 200 hours on a documented $50K complete out of the boat rebuild done in early 2016.
Even with the investment required in the port engine this Viking is still an excellent value, and after the port engine rebuild the total cost would still be below market for a vessel of this quality. Otherwise the boat is in great shape. The tender pictured is not included in the sale.
See port engine info in the Full Specs section of the listing.

Regarding the port engine -- a few things to keep in mind that will keep the cost down for the buyer to reinstall this engine:
So this situation is a bit unique. The failed engine is not a worn out PoS. This engine suffered a cam follower failure due to either an incorrect setting (injector timing and/or valve lash) or defective cam follower. This engine was running very strong prior to failure. Minimal smoke (normal amount for this engine), smooth throttle up, temp 180 deg under load, excellent oil pressure, and would turn up quickly to 2,400 RPM under full load.
