This Sparkman and Stephens designed Hylas 47 is an inspired classic with a stunning interior, rocketship stern, and destroyer bow.
Windwalker’s three-cabin, two-bathroom layout is beautifully presented with the master cabin aft, two singles at mid-bow and a double forward. This is a great boat for a couple who enjoy visitors, or an intrepid family that like to cruise in comfort and style.
Her history consisted of day-sailing on Long Island Sound for seven years, following which she was then stored before receiving upgrades and refurbishing. She was then sailed to Florida for two years before being sold in 2004 and brought to the Great Lakes, where she cruised and occasionally competed in The Mackinac races in their cruising division. Always kept in heated storage during the winter season, she was brought to Chicago in 2011 for the installation of a new Selden Mast, new standing and running rigging and new North Sails. Then shipped by truck to North Carolina for extensive blue water sailing crossing the Atlantic twice, through Panama Canal and sailed many thousands of miles throughout the Pacific.
Now its time for a new chapter in this classics tale, as she awaits her new adventure. Get in touch to arrange a viewing, this is a must see.
