This most popular small cruiser being the Sadler 29, with bilge keels is now available and used throughout her life for only family sailing. Owner comments: Jigger has been used as a family boat by her two owners (23 years and 10 years respectively) for all of her life. As such she has not had a hard life and has always been loved and well maintained to keep her safe and comfortable. All her lights and instruments have been kept in good working order, she has all six sets of original Sadler crockery and equipment like batteries, flares, extinguisher, life jackets, gas hoses for example have been serviced and/or renewed to ensure compliance and reliability. Her Bukh engine starts first time and is in excellent condition and so are her sails. Every year she has spent 5 months ashore during which time the hull has been cleaned, inspected and antifouled. As a result her hull is clean and smooth. The sails have been cleaned and kept ashore during the winter months together with the upholstery which is very good condition. The standing and running rigging have also been regularly checked and upgraded as necessary. Because she has been kept on a river mooring she has not been subject to a salt water environment except for when she has left Poole Harbour. The deck and superstructure are solid, the white gell coat is in an excellent state and the keel nuts are in near perfect condition as are the Sadler hull blue and red stripes.
Reason for selling: We bought Jigger when our daughters were 8 and 9 years in 2007 and she has helped them learn to love the open water and become proficient in sailing. Now our daughters are at University and have little time for sailing we have regretfully decided that a 6 berth boat is too big for just the two of us and so we are looking to downsize.
