The Baltic 38 DP has been a tremendously successful design, combining the best Baltic craftsmanship with a high-performance design, moderate draft, easy sail handling and a remarkably comfortable two-stateroom interior. KESTREL has the additional advantage of a custom bulb keel for extra stability and windward performance. The yacht is in exceptional condition. Since 1999 she has been used only seasonally, stored indoors at Hinckley/Little Harbor with all major service performed in that yard.
The Baltic 38 DP is a modern Classic - for good reasons. This is an exceptional design in all respects, from ease of handling and thoroughbred performance - to her remarkably comfortable two-stateroom interior arrangement. Without question, KESTREL is the best example of this great design. Along with being stored indoors at Hinckley Yachts and receiving the best of maintenance, the yacht has been consistently upgraded. A partial list of improvements over the past 6 years includes new Corian counter tops, Ultra Suede upholstery, new halogen lighting, batteries, head & holding tank; new Lewmar hatches, air conditioning, sails, running rigging, dodger and sailing instruments. . . With her custom bulb keel, KESTREL literally sailed away from her sisterships in the Baltic Regatta! She is without question, THE BEST OF HER BREED!!!

Accommodations
The layout just makes so much sense vs having three small staterooms and numerous heads like some charter boats. Large centerline queen berth aft and a V berth forward. This offers an open and comfortable arrangement. Just a great and practical layout from a high quality builder and designer. Though we know the secret in the design is KESTREL excellent, fast and safe sailing ability. This separates her from the lightly built production boats! Comfortable and safe in the cockpit and on deck she is a pleasure to sail!
