VESSEL WALK THROUGH
Starting forward is a very spacious private guest stateroom Opening stainless steel ports and a large overhead hatch provide plenty of natural ventilation and light. The overhead hatch is equipped with a solar vent. The roomy "V" berth has a removable V section to make a vanity seat if needed. Access to the anchor locker is readily available from the V. This stateroom has tons of storage under the berth in hanging lockers and built in chest o'drawers. Entering the main salon is a superb custom addition of two "arm chairs" to port. There is a table between these chairs with silverware storage drawers. Fold down teak snack tables are located at both "chairs." The original folding centerline teak table is included in the inventory. Tons of storage in cabinets and behind both seating areas. A flat screen TV with built in DVD player is mounted on a swivel arm. Ward off chilly nights on the hook with the Dickenson Newport diesel heater with built in fan. This model has the front window so you can sit back and watch the fireplace flames. To starboard of the main salon is a traditional single settee/berth. The main salon also features the famed 424 midship companionway and ladder. This makes taking on provisions a breeze compared to loading through the aft companionway. The apartment sized U shaped galley is to port and aft of the main salon. The head with a separated stand up shower stall is located to starboard across from the galley. All the way aft is the owner's private stateroom. An oversized double Pullman berth is on the port side. Storage cabinets completely surround the berth area. Across from the aft berth is a superb nav center with a fold up desk top. A swivel arm chair completes the nav area. The nav area also includes a large hanging wet locker. 6'4" headroom throughout.

BROKER COMMENTS
manuals for all equipment including a complete workshop manual for the Westerbeke diesel and the Viking generator
One of the weak points of the 424 Pearson yachts is corrosion on the bottom of the main mast. This can eventually be a very hazardous situation causing the mast to collapse. This is a very expensive repair and lots of owners try to ignore the situation. Mojo was repaired by Deaton Yacht Service in 2013. This required cutting off the damaged section of the bottom of the mast and having an aluminum "foot" built by a company in Rhode Island that specializes in this procedure.
The 1982 series of the 424 Pearsons were manufactured with an aluminum fuel tank rather than the built in fiberglass fuel tank that was a nightmare to repair.
There is nothing quite as nice as being on the hook, piling on the settee in front of the Newport "fireplace" with a good book on a chilly night.
DEC 2016 Exterior teak refinished
