This is a very special restored Bruno Stilllman and as such we have relied on the owner to provide the details and the scope of the work done on this boat.
1979 - 35 ft. Bruno Stillman Fly Bridge
This is one of the finest examples of this rare Bruno Stillman fly bridge model.
The hull is solid glass and warrantied to be completely free of any coring like some of the earlier Bruno’s.
Particularly appealing is her huge aft cockpit that has more space than most 45 footers.
The vessel has been completely gone through in an exhaustive
10 year restoration by its professional Captain owner with extensive photo documentation available.
Every wire, piece of plumbing, through- hull fitting, and electrical component has been replaced and up-graded.
The interior was stripped and re-painted and finished with all new Honduran mahogany trim.
Her fuel tanks were replaced in 2010 and 2011 and she carries 100 gallons in each tank.
PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMY:
At her typical cruise speed of 14-15 knots she burns 10 gallons per hr. for an extremely economical ride. Dial back to 12 knots and fuel burn drops to 8 gallons per hr. Wide-open throttle is 18 knots.
The hull and deck were Awl gripped in Flag blue and snow white in 2015, with contrasting cream non-skid patches on the deck.
The fly bridge was stripped, painted and all new metal work was installed with a beautiful custom hardtop completed summer 2016
All windows in the house were installed new in 2012.
In 2012 her bottom was soda blasted, any blisters ground and filled, and then 5 coats of epoxy barrier coat were applied.
Her shaft and all running gear was replaced in 2013.
New hydraulic steering lines were replaced in 2016 and the steering ram was rebuilt.
Power is by a low hour (1,300hrs.) Turbo-charged Caterpillar 3116 of 350 HP that was installed new in 1997 and meticulously maintained to the highest standards with many of the main components, (Turbocharger, water pump, Racor filter housing and all fuel hoses) replaced recently.
The original manuals for the engine and transmission are available.
The boat was used as a family picnic cruiser by the owner for the past 10 years, averaging about 50 hrs. of use per summer.
Complete photo documentation of all phases of the restoration is available.
