The CT41 ketch is a well respected staple in the cruising world. She is a Bill Garden design pilot house, full keel, ketch rig with both inside and outside helms. Black Dog II has made two trips from Seattle through the Canal and the Caribbean and is now at home in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Many upgrades and rebuilds over her life.
Current owners may have found an aluminum replacement for the main mast with rigging in the Bocas area. Wooden mast is not usable. She needs a loving craftsman to bring her back to life,
The trip to Bocas is an interesting, safe and memorable trip in any event. Make plans to go see Black Dog. Put her on your short list to start cruising or as a live aboard around Panama.
The layout is with the master forward with a double berth and single berth. The main salon also has a quarter berth and another double. There is one head.
Included is an inventory of spare parts, fishing gear, and cleaning supplies.
The ketch rig of the CT41 has wood mast and booms need replacing. Sail inventory includes 4 sails and whisker pole. The head sail is on a furler. Other sail have custom sail/boom covers.
Control lines and sheets are managed by two large Lewmar self tending winches in the cockpit.
Black Dog is equipped with electronics for cruising including two Garmin Chartplotter/GPS systems, Simrad autopilot, Icom VHF, and Furano radar.
Black Dog has a complete canvas package with full boat cover. There is also extensive storage in the cockpit lazarettes. Included is an assortment of docklines, fenders, and jacklines. She comes with a 9' dinghy and a 15 hp Evinrude outboard and dinghy wheels to move on the beach. And davits on the transom.
Ground tackle is managed by a Muir heavy duty windlass.
There is also a 4 man life raft onboard.
