Designed in the mid-1950’s by Bill Tripp Senior in New York for Long Island’s Seafarer Yachts, Falcon is the epitome of classic elegance: a well-shaped bow and counter stern, a spacious cockpit with varnished iroko wooden coamings and benches and her light, open cabin inside lined with custom-built wood-veneer lockers.
Since Falcon was first built, subsequent owners have invested over the years, including a complete interior re-design early in its life with a re-arranged galley, mast, heads and chart table. Including a custom teak interior joinery and her keel adjusted shorter to provide for a skeg hung rudder.
In 2008, a major renovation was professionally undertaken with supervision from a marine surveyor replacing the engine, deck, pushpit, pulpit, toe and grab rails, galley windows, the topsides professionally repainted, rudder replaced, a windlass added, followed in 2009 by new navigation lights, new standing rigging and shore power installed with battery charging.
In 2016, the current owner had the electrics rewired, new batteries, added a windex, replaced the boom, all running rigging and blocks, replaced the traveller, returning it to its original position and furnished the boat with new main and genoa from Ratseys of Cowes, together with a new sail cover, summer cockpit tent/cover, and full winter cover.
From a review of her sister ship ‘Duet’ in Sailing Today, Jan 2009:
“...smitten by her good looks and good manners... a good seaboat that will turn heads wherever she goes.”
As a classic design from the 1950s, Falcon is eligible to participate in the annual Cowes Classics Regatta and is welcomed to sail with the Old Gaffers rallies.

Falcon lives up to her Classic status; she is a beauty! She is in brilliant condition, nice style, ample room and has plenty of equipment. Everything is in a great condition, except perhaps requiring new upholstery and a little varnish in the saloon. Apart from those small aesthetics issues Falcon is more than good to go. This is really a special boat - don't miss out on her!
