"New Memories" is a well-cared for double-cabin flying bridge cruising yacht manufactured by famed boat builder Chris Craft. She features a main cabin aft with a new queen bed and settee, with adjoining head equipped with stand-up shower, and Vacuflush toilet. There is a v-berth cabin forward with adjoining head and Vacuflush. The yacht received new carpeting in 2012, and has two Lazy-Boy powered leather recliners in the command bridge, with two leather swivel chairs in the main salon. She has all the expected features of a 42 commander, including 3 burner propane range, anchor and windlass.
She is equipped with a 2013-installed Garmin GPSMAP 4208 chart-plotter, SD-22 Sounder, and GMR 18 high definition radar in the flying bridge. The yacht has 3 flat-screen televisions, including a 26 inch in the flying bridge that stores up and away, and a 32 inch in the lower main salon that also displays the chart-plotter output for those down below.
She is equipped with a Xantrax Prosine 3KW inverter/charger (4000W surge) to provide 120 volt AC to outlets and the refrigerator, and she has 4 Trojan L16G-AC deep cycle batteries (installed in 2013) to provide ample reserves away from shore (52 hours@ 25 amps), making it a rare case to need to use the on-board Onan 6.5KW generator. She has a deep cycle battery for the port engine, and two deep cycle batteries for house DC and starboard engine start, charged by a 30 amp, 3 output Marinco charger. The Onan generator also has its own deep cycle battery, and independent Marinco 6 amp charger (Also all in 2013). Along with the Onan, she has an original equipment-type heat pump to provide heating and cooling. In the main salon, she has a 2015 installed electric 1500W fireplace. The yacht was equipped in 2014 with twin SmartPlug 30 amp connectors to provide safe connection to shore power.
She is powered by twin Chris Craft 300 HP, Ford 427 side oilers as used by Ford in NASCAR racing. Both engines received new plugs, caps, rotors, Petronix electronic ignition and hi-power coilsL16G-AC, and an oil change with Mobile One synthetic oil in 2016. The port engine has 1038 hours, and the starboard engine has 1034 hours. She has 250 gallons fuel capacity.
Also in 2016, New Memories received a fresh bottom paint, new zincs, all through-hull valves replaced with brass ball valves, and new sea strainers installed for both engines and the heat pump, at a cost of over $10,000 by Petite Marine.
She will not disappoint!
