Full-length peteribi carvel planking on laminated viraro frames (no caulking), viraro structural keel and backbone, copper-rivet and stainless steel-bolt fastened. Deck is teak over brunzeel plywood (refastened, re-caulked, re-plugged, and re-finished 1998) with varnished trim. Self-bailing natural teak cockpit Edson wheel steering. Peteribi trunk cabin with fiberglassed plywood cabin top. Exterior lead ballast. White hull with blue bottom. NOTE: CIMARRON's transom was replaced (double-planked) in April 2006. The vessel is reported to be in "outstanding structural condition."
1970 Westerbeke 4108 47-hp 4-cyl. diesel engine, rebuilt by Derecktor, New York, in 1982, starter and alternator replaced in 2005, new Hurth transmission, 2006. Hurst reduction gear, Morse engine controls. The owner says the engine "runs perfect." Bronze propeller (new January 2007) on stainless steel shaft. Cruising speed 6 kn.

12V lighting system with three 12V batteries, circuit-breaker panel, Guest master switch, shore-power hook-up, battery-charger, polarity indicator, and battery-condition indicator.
Sleeps 7 in 1 forward V-berth, 1 double berth to starboard, and 3 single berths to port (1 pilot, 1 quarter, and 1 fixed upper). Headroom: 6' 2". Single head, hand-held shower with pressure water. The galley is equipped with a stainless steel sink with pressure water, a gimbaled 2-burner Taylor propane stove, and an insulated fiberglassed wooden icebox. Wolter stainless-steel hot water heater. Force 10 gas cabin heater. Folding dining table. The interior is finished in white paint with varnished mahogany trim/joinerwork and a teak and holly cabin sole. Ventilation is provided by 3 hatches/slides, 2 opening ports, and 4 dorade-type ventilators.

Masthead double-headsail yawl rig with stainless steel standing rigging, hollow keel-stepped aluminum spars (mast height 55' from waterline), braided halyards and sheets. Harken jib roller-furling system, jiffy reefing (3 reefs), whisker pole and 1 spinnaker (bells and deck mounts but no pole). Snatch blocks. 4 halyard winches and new Dutchman halyard furling system, 2 Barient primary sheet winches and 2 Lewmar second sheet winches (all 4 sheet winches in cockpit). Sail Inventory: 2004 Jan Pedersen mizzen and #1 genoa, 2005 Jan Pedersen main, 2006 Jan Pederson #2 jib, Ratsey mizzen staysail and hank-on staysail, numerous other sails (including spinnaker, gennaker, storm trysail, and drifter) of various ages and in varied condition.

CIMMARON has been sailed offshore since 1980, when she sailed from Buenos Aires to the U.S.A. I have since sailed her to Africa and to the Caribbean at least 8 times. She weathered a hurricane in 1982 and 2 major storms with winds over 60 knots. CIMARRON is a proven able sea boat.
All sails are in new or excellent condition. The only work done to her was a new transom in 2006 due to an old leak on deck (work done by Chip Flanagan Boats).
The boat docked in San Francisco for 15 years. It was there that I bought her back from the man who bought her from me. She came back to Maine overland in 2000.
CIMARRON took Second in the Classic Class in the 2005 Antigua Classic Regatta.
CIMARRON is a handsome yawl which was built to very high standards in Argentina. We first got to know her in the early 1980s, and as the owner indicates, she has proven herself time and again. She is very well built with excellent joinery below, and we feel that she can be highly recommended.
